KfW Development Bank

Funding Body

The KfW Development Bank is responsible for Financial Cooperation with development countries. On behalf of the German Federal Government, KfW Development Bank promotes public financial management and the ambitious decentralization process by investing in local infrastructure in Rwanda. It supports the development of a modern vocational education system and facilitates the access of small and medium-sized enterprises to credit. Promoting a sustainable supply of energy in the region is a further important priority of its work in the East African country.


Green Climate Fund

Funding Body

The Green Climate Fund (GCF) is a global fund created to support the efforts of developing countries to respond to the challenge of climate change. The GCF helps developing countries to limit or reduce greenhouse gas emissions and to help vulnerable societies adapt to the unavoidable impacts of climate change.
